Hunger and waste coexist in our world.
Today, for every malnourished person, there are two overweight.
The annual report on malnutrition, The State of Food Insecurity in the World 2015, published by the UN food agencies (FAO, IFAD, WFP), shows that worldwide about 795 million people suffer starvation every day, while 2,1 BILLIONS are obese.
36 MILLION People die each year due to lack of food.
29 MILLION Perish from diseases caused by overeating.
Today in the world there would be enough food for all, yet one person out of eight starves and each year 1.3 BILLION tons of edible food is wasted, while the resources of the land, forests and seas are harvested unsustainably.

TAKE CARE OF YOU
In Milan, the city that hosts Expo 2015, the Carta di Milano”, has been presented to the Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-Moon, and also the Christian churches in the area have decided to accept this challenge and to reflect on this important issue, which covers the earth and the man.
Recently, the scouts AISA of Piedmont and Lombardy have focused on this issue and, based on the project of the artists and therapists Fiorenzo Fioretta and Stefania Benvenuti, each group has built a paper tree that has become part of a collective work.
On 13 June 2015, Adventist Christian Churches of Milan, in collaboration with Lega Vita&Salute and Nourish them with Art Onlus have created two events.

MARCH AGAINST HUNGER
Each scout group gave their own tree to Fiorenzo and Stefania, and after a brief reflection on the topic, every child was given a balloon.
We marched up to Piazza Duomo and let the balloons out, screaming "take care of you!"
From Piazza del Duomo we moved to Parco Sempione and, led by Fiorenzo and Stefania, the groups rebuilt their own tree, to form a forest.
